Flu Vaccination Online Manual

Overview Installation Using the Program Quick Reference Removing the Program

This program is designed to allow practices to easily enter information about influenza vaccination into patients records in New GPASS. The design of the program is to create a consultation by a clinician which will add the Read Code for Influenza Vaccination and will also allow the recording of the Batch number and Expiry date of the vaccine. If a practice wishes they can also use the new Influenza screening protocol which has been distributed by GPASS.

To utilise this program you must be running Version 4 of New GPASS which supports the Open Interface and the use of External programs.

After installation the program can be accessed from the Tools menu of New GPASS. The program is designed so that it can only be run from within GPASS.

Once the program is running you will be prompted for the information needed to create the consultation and for information about the Vaccine. Following this all you need to do is select a patient and the information will be recorded automatically. Thereafter if the details of the vaccine remain the same then all you need to do is select further patients till you are finished entering all the vaccinations. You do however have the option of changing any of the information at any time.

If you use the screening option then a screening entry will be addedd as well as the Read Code.

If your practice is part of the CMR project then you can be prompted to select an appropriate modifier for the Read Code.
