E-PRS

E-PRS is a service provided on behalf of Allen & Hanbury's to GP practices as a service to medicine.

E-PRS is a clinical recording and audit system currently for COPD patients, which helps patient managment by providing clinicians a structured consultation template when reviewing patients. This template is designed to meet the all requirements of current COPD NICE guidelines as well as allowing customisation to include Health Board regional guidance by MCNs. The system also includes a reporting program to allow detailed integration of a practice COPD patient register, recall functionality and a screening search to find new COPD patients.

Before the main clinical system migration process started in Scotland the system was used in around 300 GPASS practices, including full Health Board MCN projects in NHS Forth Valley and NHS Borders. The project work in NHS Forth Valley was awarded 3rd place in the SCIMP Best Use of IT Award in 2009.

A new version of the software (E-PRS V2) is being developed for use with EMIS & Vision. Full release of this system is expected in early 2011.
